The Leeds City Region is a portrait of distinctive places: vibrant modern cities, historic market towns, idyllic suburbs—all within easy access to the spectacular countryside of the Yorkshire Dales and Peak District National Parks, and the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

In addition to the authorities above, North Yorkshire County Council, which is the upper tier council for Craven, Harrogate and Selby, is also a member of the Leeds City Region.
