Leeds City Region is a diverse area, containing overlapping housing markets, with differing problems and challenges. Issues are varied and complex, including high house prices, shortages of affordable housing, and poor quality housing stock contributing to fuel poverty and poor health.
In order to address housing growth and investment effectively the Partnership is working at a city region level to identify and deliver projects that cover the city region's housing and regeneration needs, and stimulate growth and employment.
The Partnership is currently progressing a number of important pilot schemes across the city region including:
- New Growth Points
£5m of funding has been secured and initial elements of the New Growth Point programme have been delivered in Barnsley, Calderdale and Wakefield.For further information click here
- The Urban Eco Settlements Programme

The Partnership is also working closely with the Homes and Communities Agency through the joint Leeds City Region / Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) Board to:
To oversee the distribution of HCA investment across the city region;
To oversee the delivery of the agreed city region strategic projects and programmes;
To align associated public sector funding to deliver city region investment priorities; and
To work with Government, the national HCA Board, and other funding agencies to secure the necessary funding to achieve city region ambitions.
