In order to explore the future of the UK business landscape and assess future business models, HSBC commissioned the ‘Future of Business’ report. According to findings new entrepreneurial landscapes will emerge over the coming decades redefining centres for capital and business. Traditional economics will give way to new business practices whilst a shift in economic landscapes will see the creation of ‘super cities’. Investment in new technologies and innovation will see, amongst others, Leeds developing into a robotics ‘hot spot’, whilst York will become a centre for innovation in biotechnology.
