Working in partnership, our aim is to help shape future skills provision and better respond to opportunities for jobs growth and higher level skills in the economy.
On the 1st April 2011 the Leeds City Region Partnership held its first city region skills conference in association with the West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges.The event brought together the Employment and Skills Board with representative employers from key sectors and skills providers to discuss the current and future skills priorities for the city region.
The event evolved around work that has taken place this year, in consulting directly with employers in the priority sectors about their needs, and collaboration and discussions that have taken place between the Leeds City Region Partnership, College Principals and other skills providers in the city region.
